Torture is an international
problem and must be solved
internationally...

International development

RCT works with organisations throughout the world. The aim is to provide others with RCT's unique experience with treating survivors of torture, and to enable RCT to impart the experiences of other organisations.

Only a fraction of the people subjected to torture come to Denmark and can be offered treatment at RCT. Most of them stay in their home countries or takes refuge in neighbouring countries, where they try to rebuild their lives. This can prove difficult without professional help.

Therefore, it is an important part of RCT's work to treat survivors of torture and their families where they are. Also, it is just as important for RCT to work with local organisations to prevent torture from happening.
