2010 RCT welcomes the United Nations backed tribunal in the Courts of Cambodia (“ECCC”) on the delivery of its first verdict on 26 July this year in the case of Kaing Guek Eav, known as “Comrade Duch” Founder of the Indian RCT partner organisation "Peoples' Vigilance Committee on Human Rights” is honored with the human rights prize of the city of Weimar in 2010.

Desmond Fernando, one of the leading human rights lawyers and activists in Sri Lanka, died July 5. The annual conference of the European Network of Rehabilitation Centres for Survivors of Torture will take place from May 19 to May 21 in Copenhagen. This year’s theme is “Right to health and rehabilitation” and RCT together with OASIS is hosting the conference.
